Who remembers Cookie Clicker? A game in which you clicked a central cookie to make… well, more cookies. Repeat ad infinitum. It was released in 2013 and to most who encountered it, or perhaps had to suffer someone who had, it could be seen as one of the most annoying games out there; a cacophony of clicking mice and tapping of screens as players seemed to mindlessly delight in watching a number go up.
